Peanut garlic chutney, also known as ‘shenga chutney’, is a specialty from Solapur, Maharashtra. A much sought-after dish, shenga chutney is popular even among tourists visiting Solapur for its shrines. It’s also a popular accompaniment to dosas, idlis, and rice in North Karnataka with a small variation in the spice levels.

Graminway’s Garlic Peanut Chutney Powder recreates the smoky, sharp flavors with our special blend of spices and local sourced ingredients. The recipe of our chutney powder has been handed down from Seoni Amma with some expert tweaking from Rama to achieve the taste of home. We mix roasted groundnuts with chilli, cumin, and curry leaves among other spices. When it reaches you from our kitchen you can immediately savor its piquancy and freshness!

COOKING GUIDELINES:

Serve with Steamed Rice or smear a layer of ghee and sprinkle Garlic Peanut Chutney Powder and roll up Chapati/Roti. You can also serve with Idli and Dosa.
